Feel the beat. Move your body. Free your mind. This is your invitation to experience Ecstatic Dance, a space where you can dance like no one’s watching and connect with yourself, others and life in an authentic, alcohol and substance-free environment.
We’re creating a night just for you, the young bodies who crave freedom and connection. Let go of stress, embrace the music, and lose yourself in the rhythm.
Let’s move together, free and from the heart. No dance experience is needed, just bring your authentic self and an open heart.

Practical information:
- Please bring your own cup/bottle for the water and tea we will provide.
Even though you can move as freely as you want, there are some guidelines everyone must follow:
- We dance barefoot (or on socks).
- No talking on the dancefloor: Making sounds is allowed!
- No alcohol or other substances: We will provide you with as much water and tea as you need.
- No electronic devices: You can store all your devices safely in the dressing room.

Times:
- Entry at 19.00
(It's nice if you are there at 19.15. so that we can start the opening on time; from 19.30 there will be no one at the door to let you in, so joining later is not possible)
- Opening ceremony from 19.30 to 19.50
- Dance journey from 19.50 to 21.50
- Closing circle from 21.50 to 22.00
- Chill space from 22.00 to 22.30

ATTENTION! The Ecstatic Dance will be hosted at Biltstraat 166, this is not the usual Play location you might be used to. From Utrecht Centraal you can take multiple buses that stop in front of the location.

About DJ Jera: Jera grew up at Landgoed Ottermeer, a campsite, retreat and event location in the south of the Netherlands. His passion for Ecstatic Dance was ignited at the age of 18 during his first travels around the world, when he landed on the island of Hawai‘i — the birthplace of Ecstatic Dance. He returned home full of inspiration, deeply moved by the power of dance and community. This experience became the driving force behind building a dedicated dance and yoga hall together with his father in 2019. It was there that he later initiated the monthly Ecstatic Dance Gatherings with DJ Yarun Dee and his sister Kristal. Over the past four years, Jera has been sharing his love for music as a DJ at Ecstatic Dance events across the Netherlands and Belgium.

About Bart & Pia: Bart and Pia are honoured to be your facilitators for this Ecstatic Dance evening.
- Bart has been dancing Ecstatic Dance for a few years now. For Bart, Ecstatic Dance is a dance meditation and the perfect way to release some stress and relieve some emotions. He hopes more young people can experience the magic of Ecstatic Dance.
- Pia has been moving and shaking it all her life and it excites her to have found a space where others love to move freely as well. Ecstatic Dance gives her a room to feel and embody her experience while sharing and creating with others. She loves to create spaces that feel authentic and warm <3
