FREE Community Art Installation Workshop - All Ages Welcome

On Saturday June 28th the Coeur d'Alene community is invited to come by the studio and contribute to a large scale painted installation for Emerge's upcoming Block Party. This event is open to all ages (kids under 12 are required to have a parent stick around for supervision), and all skill levels.
We received a donation of 3 large paddleboards that will be repurposed into a decorative outdoor installation for the Block Party on July 11th. We would like members of the community to contribute ahead of time by painting and decorating these boards that will be displayed on Lakeside Ave during the night of the event. We will install them on the fence line alongside cardboard waves that we'll invite attendees to paint during the event.
With the move of our Block Party from 2nd Street up to Lakeside Ave due to the construction on our block, this project will take the place of the community mural we've done in years past.
The paddle boards we're using for this event are 'retired' and are no longer safe to use as any breaks, cracks, or chips in them litter the lake with small bits of Styrofoam. This art installation is not only meant to bring the community together to contribute to a fantastic work of art, it's also meant to be a reminder to the community that we should always be aware of the impact each of us has on the health of the lake.
All materials will be provided for this event. Come by the studio anytime from 10am to 4pm and stay for as long as you'd like.
Please RSVP if you plan on attending
