Come enjoy summer in full colour during Macpherson House’s opening celebrations!
On July 3rd wear your brightest colours to welcome summer. Stop by and take a self-guided tour of Macpherson House and immerse yourself in the history of this hidden gem. Come into the summer kitchen and chat with Susi as she weaves on the full-sized loom. You can even visit the craft station to learn how to create your very own colourful macrame key chain. Have a sweet tooth? Grab your ticket for an ice cream sundae, just $5. You can’t miss the colourful stilters roaming the Mac House Grounds, the whimsical face paint on children’s faces, or the rocking tunes keeping spirits lively. Join us for Storytime with Lennox and Addington Libraries. Bring your competitive side to try and win one of our various races for a museum shop gift certificate or enjoy one of our lawn games. If you’ve got artistic flair, or even if you don’t, you can participate in our spray paint and stencils workshop - let those colour flow! Do you need to do a little shopping? Sandy Pines Wildlife Center’s mobile gift shop has you covered (cash & debit/credit). We can’t wait to see you as we kick off a great summer at Macpherson House.
Bring your own lawn chair, or a blanket to sit and enjoy the festivities.
Accessible portable toilet will be on site.

Please note there will be a variety of activities to enjoy throughout the day from 10:30am - 2:00pm. However, if something below on our schedule really catches your eye, please make note of the start and end time to avoid dissapointment!
