M2 Submarine plus second dive, you will need to be DEEP/Nitrox certified.
Diving the M2 is something all UK scuba divers want to do. It is one of the most iconic UK dives... how often can you say you have dived a submarine and an aircraft carrier in one dive ?
The M2 was the worlds first submarine to carry an aircraft, which was housed in a hangar on the foredeck of the sub. It was lost on 26th January 1932 off Portland whilst on exercise. She now sits intact and upright on the seabed and is a fantastic dive.
It is easy to navigate and highlights, apart from seeing an intact submarine, are the aircraft hanger, the torpedo tubes, which are home to some enormous conger eels and the conning tower. Although the seabed is at about 34 metres, most of the dive will be around the 30m range making this a perfect Nitrox dive.
Dive 2 will either be one of the local reef systems, scallop dive or one of the wrecks in the harbour. We will see which site suit the conditions on the day.
This dive is accessible to Deep Divers and above. The cost for this 2 dive day is £80
