Reflections Summer Dance Experience

Join Reflections Dance Company for an inspiring week of dance! Please register by July 1 to reserve your spot in the workshop series held on the shores of beautiful Lake Shagawa. Our classes will take place at Semer's Beach Shelter as we explore how nature impacts our creative process. The morning class is open to ages 9+, and will focus on improv and dance technique. There are optional outdoor afternoon activities each day. The evening class is open to ages 12+, with participants learning a piece to be performed in the summer show. The week will end with a performance at Tofte Lake Center on Friday, July 18 at 7 pm. Instructors are Amanda Sachs and Elena Hollenhorst. Amanda comes to us from Colorado. She is currently dancing with Para.Mar Dance Theatre and Hélène Simoneau Danse.
Elly is currently dancing, teaching, and creating in San Jose, Costa Rica. In 2024 they performed a duet “Searching for Giants” at Whiteside Park, and their piece “Betelgeuse” was part of the RDC summer show They are returning to Ely to share their talents with local dancers.
