Sabbatical Sunday - A Day of Rest

Dear Legacy Family,
We’re doing something a little different... and deeply intentional.
On July 6th, we will NOT be gathering in the church building.
There will be no Sunday service on campus. The building will be closed.
Why?
Because we believe in the biblical rhythm of rest.
Not just as a moment—but as a model.
Sabbath is sacred. It’s not just about “not working,” it’s about reconnecting—with God, with family, and with your own soul.
On this day, we’re encouraging every family, couple, and individual in our community to take a full sabbatical Sunday:
- Sleep in a little
- Worship together at home
- Take communion as a family
- Go for a walk
- Unplug from the noise
- Reflect on God’s goodness
- Rest—fully and without guilt
📖 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” – Exodus 20:8
This is more than a break—this is a holy pause.
Let’s model what it looks like to rest well, live intentionally, and trust that God is working even when we’re not.
We’ll resume gathering the following Sunday with renewed hearts and fresh vision.
Until then—rest, reflect, and enjoy your Sunday sabbatical
With love,
Pastor Jacob & the Legacy Church Team
P.S. - WE WILL HAVE AN ONLINE ONLY SERVICE AVAILABLE AT 10am
