Bird Hike at Isle a la Cache

Join Brian “Fox” Ellis on a bird hike through Isle a la Cache Preserve, where there is a wonderful mix of forest-dwelling songbirds and river-related water birds. Fox is an internationally acclaimed author, storyteller, historian and naturalist. He is the director of membership and outreach for the Illinois Audubon Society, where he edits their quarterly magazine and coordinates their Adventure Field Trip programs.

Age: Ages 12 or older.

We’ll have some binoculars and field guides available for you to borrow, but if you have your own, please bring them along. Dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.

The hike will be up to 1 mile on natural surface trails across uneven terrain.
