Painting Portraits of Humans and Animals with water based media by Regina Doi

Learn to convey emotion, movement, and energy in your portraits of people and animals using expressive colors beyond what you see and confident brushstrokes. Your instructor will help you to let go of perfectionism and capture more than just a likeness in your portraits. Using acrylics and watercolors, students will learn to balance abstraction with realism, refine facial features while maintaining spontaneity, and define form through color. Individual instruction provided for all students. All skill levels are welcome! Participants should bring a few photos of their subject from different angles for reference.
