Spin & Sip at The Pottery

We are really excited to bring you our new Sip & Spin Class with Gold Coast legend potter Larissa Warren. Relax and unwind with friends or make some here! Bring out your inner Swaze for a wheelie good time on the wheel! This fun class will teach you some basics of wheel throwing. Learning the wheel is a patience process, and we donβt expect you to get it in a couple of hours. Experienced wheel throwers spend years perfecting their craft.
This class is about having a go and having some fun. Larissa will teach you about centering as you practice making some bowls. You will make a 2- 3 bowls - pick your best 2 and they will be fired for you and glazed in a white glaze.
The class is 2 hours. After the class, your masterpieces will be left here to dry slowly, sanded, bisque fired, and hand glazed in a white glaze and fired again Ready for collection in approximately 5-6 weeks. What to bring: BYO nibbles and sips. Glasses are provided.
Firing Fees: All materials and firing fees are included.
Pottery Breakage Clay is a fickle medium- I take great care in looking after all students pieces- but the nature of Pottery is that it can break for many reasons.
