Level: Intermediate/Advanced. Discover the magic of a hairdryer and fluid paint! Students need to bring a travel hair dryer with a nozzle attachment (concentrator) and extension cord. Class topics include mixing paint to the right consistency, blowdryer techniques, how to plan and execute specific compositions, and create CELLS! Advanced techniques include creating a Diptych or Triptych and blowing across multiple canvases.
The use of dry pigments to make metallic paint and advanced compositions will be taught in this class. 5-6 pieces will be completed in this class. Please bring pizza boxes to accommodate taking wet paintings home, XL Pizza boxes work well, bring 3-4 boxes.
BRING: a hairdryer with a nozzle attachment. Travel hairdryers work best. You will get paint on it – so plan accordingly. Supplies are provided, please pay supply fee to instructor via cash, check, zelle or Venmo.
Supply Fee: $100 to instructor covers all materials for the workshop
