The Yards

The Yards are a Lawrence-Kansas-based funk/soul/fusion instrumental quartet known for their superb musicianship, electric onstage interplay, and uniquely catchy original compositions. Formed in November of 2000, The Yards have released two full-length studio albums, a number of self-produced live albums, and have contributed to two compilation albums. More than two decades into their existence, The Yards continue to maintain an active live performance schedule and have opened for such nationally known acts as John Scofield, Toots and the Maytals, and Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.
