Welcome Summer Concert: MK Trio

Bring the whole family to this FREE concert in the Courtyard at The Other Barn. We'll have food trucks, activities, and of course LIVE MUSIC! Bring your own seating (lawn chairs, blankets, etc.). The concert will be held rain or shine (moving inside The Other Barn if we have inclement weather).
About the performers:
MKTrio is an east coast alternative-jazz outfit comprised of Myles Kelley (keys), August Duclos (bass), and Owen Markowitz (drums). Formed as product of a high school friendship in Midcoast Maine and the upstate NY college circuit, the MKtrio plays improvised music inspired by modern players like Mark Guiliana and Robert Glasper, with respect for the tradition of Coltrane and Freddie Hubbard.
MKtrio was honored to perform on the main stage at the Jazz in June Festival (Camden, ME) last year with the Jango Festival Allstars and Kandace Springs. In previous years, Owen and Myles shared a bill with Bill Frisell and Kenny Baron at the same festival.
Since 2022, the Trio has toured regularly in the Northeast, bringing their high energy to barns, basements, watering-holes, and anywhere with a corner and electricity.
In 2025, MKtrio is thrilled to announce a new project, which they have been furiously self-producing in a little parking garage in Portland. The music blends fiery instrumentals with spoken word poetry, and they (we) are honored to present it to new ears this spring.
