Beer, Bangers & Brunch: Saturday, August 16th – VINYL EDITION
A Grain Theory Summer Event Series
11:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Upstairs at Grain Theory | Free Entry
We're wrapping up our summer brunch series with a special edition that’s all about digging through crates, spinning real records, and slowing things down just enough to enjoy a well-earned Saturday.
Beer, Bangers & Brunch has been a once-a-month series throughout the summer, pairing our full brunch menu with live DJ sets and local creative pop-ups to turn Saturdays into something just a little more intentional—and a lot more fun.
For this final event in the series on Saturday, August 16th, we’re hosting the Vinyl Edition, featuring an all-vinyl DJ set by Justin T Walker. He’ll be spinning a mix of classic tracks, elder emo, indie rock, and nostalgic deep cuts, all straight from the turntable. Justin’s known for building sets that strike the perfect balance between reflective and energetic, and the vibe upstairs will match that tone—easy to settle into, great for catching up with friends, and full of moments you didn’t know you needed to hear again.
We’ll also be joined by The Sticker Lady, who’s popping up with a wide spread of hand-designed, custom stickers. She creates all her designs by hand, and her work ranges from funny and edgy to artsy and expressive. It’s a cool addition to the event, whether you’re looking for something for your water bottle, laptop, or just want to support a creative local maker.
Chef Rob’s one-day-only brunch special, Bangers in a Blanket, will also be on the menu—a signature dish made fresh in the GT kitchen and available only during Beer, Bangers & Brunch events.
Our full brunch menu will also be available, along with $5 mimosa specials and our full-service coffee bar. The event takes place upstairs on our second-story balcony, with garage doors rolled up, open-air seating, and a clear view of downtown Abilene.
This is the final event in the series, and we’d love to close it out with all of you. If you’ve been to any of the past dates, you know what this is about. And if you haven’t made it to one yet, this is your chance.
No cover, no reservations—just vinyl, brunch, and a Saturday worth showing up for.
