🎤 About the Guest: Poisson Rouge is a Modern Cajun band from Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, proudly known as the "Most Cajun Place on Earth." While deeply rooted in tradition, their sound reaches beyond the past, blending Cajun music with their own diverse influences. Over time, they’ve come to call their progressive style Modern Cajun, a reflection of the energy and creativity they bring to the stage.
Fronted by singer-songwriter and accordionist Kylie Griffin, Poisson Rouge delivers soulful French lyrics and infectious rhythms that keep the dance floor moving. With half the band also working as music educators, they’re not just preserving Louisiana’s musical heritage, they’re giving it new life for the next generation.
