Celebration of Life for Thom Cannell, tentatively scheduled on Saturday, July12, 2025
It was with greatest sadness to hear of passing of our dear friend Thom Cannell, the week of April 28, 2025. Thom was a great family member, a great dancer & teacher, car enthusiast, beer brewer, journalist, business man, friend, and a chosen grandpa to a lovely young person.
Thomβs kindness toward others gave us a good example of how we should treat one another. An avid athlete, Thom was a great example of living life smart and to the fullest. He will be greatly missed.
Since Thom was one of the founders of the Ballroom Dance Club of Greater Lansing, the Club will host his celebration of life in the Greater Lansing area . Thom was a life-long supporter of the YMCA so the proceeds of the celebration will be donated to the Lansing YMCA where Thom taught . The donations will offer scholarships in his name to those in need. Details to come.
