Following last year’s inaugural "Future of French en Écosse" conference held at the University of Strathclyde, registration is now open for this year’s event: "The Future of French en Écosse: The Way Ahead."
The conference will take place in Edinburgh on Monday, June 23rd and will aim to provide a forum for all stakeholders by offering a place and time for assessing the situation and for building a positive future for French in Scotland, with a specific focus on learner’s voices.
It will be followed by a presentation of the "Creative Puppetry for French" toolkit, aimed at supporting the teaching and learning of French through a creative and play-based practice developed for early years’ educators and teachers and a drinks reception at the Institut français d’Écosse.
Co-organised by SCILT (Scotland's National Centre for Languages) and the University of Strathclyde in partnership with the University of Edinburgh, and supported by the Institut français d’Écosse and the Franco-Scottish Society.
Duration: 10am - 4:30pm for the conference at University of Edinburgh | From 5pm for the presentation of creative puppetry and drinks at Institut français d’Ecosse
Free, upon registration
