Differently Abled Entertainment is holding auditions for our powerful fall production of THE FATHER by August Strindberg β a gripping psychological drama selected in honor of Mental Health and Screening Awareness Month this October.
Directed by Jon-Lee "Jonni" Campbell
Assistant Directed by Matthew Benner
π About the Play:
A respected military officer finds his life and sanity unraveling as he battles with his wife over their daughterβs future. In a home full of manipulation, emotional warfare, and conflicting truths, The Father explores control, mental health, and societal expectations in deeply human ways.
π Casting the Following Roles:
The Captain (a cavalry officer) (40s-50s)
Laura (his wife) (30s-40s)
Bertha (their daughter) (teen/young adult)
Doctor Ostermark (30s-50s)
The Pastor (30s-40s)
The Nurse (60s-70s)
George (a servant) (20s-30s)
An Orderly (30s)
β¨ We welcome performers of all abilities, identities, and experience levels. We especially encourage those passionate about storytelling and mental health awareness to audition.
