Hands-on zine making class in the Book Arts studio!
During this workshop, you’ll use found poetry and collage techniques to create zines that imagine possibilities for Buffalo futures. What blueprints unfold when we combine archival materials from the Central Library’s Rare Books & Local History collection with current Buffalo publications/media? What kind of Buffalos can we manifest through collective creativity when we consider the complexities of what this place was and is?
Part two of an optional two part series, this workshop is crafted with teens and adults in mind. In part one, we’ll explore personal roadmaps for facing uncertainty. In part two, we’ll explore civic roadmaps. SIGN UP BELOW FOR BOTH WORKSHOPS AT ONCE FOR A SPECIAL DISCOUNT RATE.
Participants will be invited to be part of a collaborative zine that will be featured at the 2025 ZineFest, held at the WNY Book Arts Center.
The workshop is geared towards teens + adults. There is no prerequisite knowledge required. All materials provided.
