CANNAN, Charles “Charlie”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Saturday July 12, 2025 at 12:00 noon at
Our Lady of Charity Parish Church - Holy Family Worship site,
1885 South Park Ave., Buffalo, NY
He was the devoted husband of the late Michelle, dear father of Christopher (Carla) and Michael (Valerie), loving grandfather of Caitlyn, Brody, Chase, Dalton and Locklyn. “Chas” was the son the late Marie and Charles Sr, brother of Sheila (Ray) Schwabl, Larry (Beth), Bob (Karen), and the late Eileen (late Nick) Caparella, late Terry (Joanne). Uncle Chas was enjoyed and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, cousins and in laws.
Called by many names by many friends, coworkers, teammates and players, as a retired proud Ironworker from Ironworkers Local 40, former member Ironworkers Local 6, as well as former high school and college football player who was a passionate high school football coach. He coached football at Baker High School 1972 until that closed in 1978 and Bishop Timon from 1978 - 1984. He moved to NY in 1984 to iron work there and eventually worked with his son as an ironworker in NJ.
