WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?
β
Ecstatic dance is freeform dancing that encourages self-expression, emotional release, and connection with others. Ecstatic dance can serve as a mindfulness practice just as equally it can exercise.
β
ABOUT YOUR HOST
β
Eden earned her Personal Training Certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2020, and a certification of Essentials of Elite Performance from Z-Health in 2023. Her area of expertise is in improving movement quality using a blend of myofascial, strength, and neurobiological techniques.
β
When we experience pain, trauma or injury, our brains send signals to our bodies to protect us from further injury. These messages are transferred through our bodies in codes. These codes, while meant to keep us safe and pain free, sometimes get βstuckβ and limit our movement, long after recovery. This means that we continue living our lives post-injury, while those safety codes override our movement patterns and keep us living in a state of chronic pain or limited mobility.
β
My mission is to help you clear those βstuckβ codes keeping you from pain free movement. Together we can find the root cause of what signals are no longer serving you, and replace them with ones that will help you achieve your movement and fitness goals.
