Sit back for a relaxing journey into passenger railroad's glorious past onboard the Bertram Flyer! Our vintage train cars are from the golden era of rail travel, built in the '30s, '40s and '50s, and fully restored for your enjoyment. On board the train, your 44 mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15 minute layover at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. Enjoy views of Short Creek Canyon, the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world!

This summer, enhance your journey with beer, wine, and mimosas available for purchase in the Cedar Park Car! Sip and savor your favorite drink while enjoying the sights and sounds of vintage rail travel.

All cars are pulled by a diesel locomotive. This 44 mile ride is 3.5 hours round trip with a 15-minute layover. SCHEDULE: Departs 9:00 AM, Returns 12:30 PM. Due to the unique nature of our non-profit railroad operations, there are no refunds.

We wish to provide each passenger with the best possible experience during their excursion. To ensure this, we kindly request that groups of two avoid choosing seats that are facing each other. If you do choose such seats, we may need to reassign your seats to ensure that you are seated next to each other. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in making this train ride enjoyable for everyone.
