Swimming Day at Harrison Bay State Park
Join Forest Families of Chattanooga for a fun and relaxing day of swimming at Harrison Bay State Park in Harrison, TN. Bring your swimsuits, towels, water, and snacks.
Location: Harrison Bay State Park
Time: 11:00 am EST
Requirements: ALL attendees MUST have a 2025 waiver on file. Forms for minors are to be completed by a legal guardian.

Intended For: Families attending with children under 18

Pets: Not allowed (with the exception of service animals)
Skill Level: Easy/Beginner
Stroller/Wheelchair Accessible: Yes (all-terrain best)

Total Distance: approx 600 ft from parking area to swimming area
Conditions: All-weather event (except when severe)

When you enter the park go right towards the camping and swimming areas. You pass the first swimming/playground signs, go through the campgrounds passing the A frame, keep driving till the parking lot dead ends. You will see a trail on your right from there that leads to an island. There is a sandbar between the island and the shore, the island has a hiking trail that goes all the way around it. We will meet at the sand bar!
Please make sure everyone in your group is dressed in weather appropriate clothing. Kids should wear clothes that are okay to get dirty, wet, or otherwise messed up and consider bringing a spare set for afterward. We also recommend bringing water and some snacks.
All guardians must remain with and are responsible for their own children at all times. By attending this event, you accept all possible risks for yourself and children and acknowledge that facilitators and other members are not liable for any damages including but not limited to injuries, illnesses, lost or damaged property, etc.
