KC Jazz Ensemble Directors Reading Session

SPOTLIGHT CHARLIE PARKER: KC Jazz Alive, Kansas City Jazz Ambassadors-Jamey Aebersold Clinic/Concert Series, and the American Jazz Museum present The KC JAZZ ENSEMBLE DIRECTORS READING BAND, Mike Parkinson, Clarence Smith, Bob Long and Clint Ashlock Directors. Two sets of music in the Museum Atrium with an intermission for mingling and refreshments. Music from Grade 2-4 levels for middle & high school bands; each piece played in its entirety from core repertoire, new works, and from Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Pat Metheny, and other KC artists. Directors are welcome to sit in as well as attend. There will be a drawing for free charts, with other perks to be announced.
