Sweat Lodge Ceremony with Christin Dennis

We are deeply honoured to welcome Christin Dennis, a respected Knowledge Carrier from Aamjiwnaang First Nation, to our land for a full-day Sacred Sweat Lodge Ceremony & Potluck.

This is a rare and powerful opportunity to receive traditional teachings & healing, offer prayers, and be held in sacred space with the guidance of an experienced ceremonial leader.

Participants are invited to arrive for 9AM to witness the lighting of the sacred fire. All guest must be ready to begin the sweat lodge ceremony at 10.30AM.

After the lodge, we will gather for a community potluck to nourish our bodies and integrate the journey together in a spirit of gratitude.


Christin Dennis will sharing teachings on:

This is a sacred ceremony rooted in tradition. A protocol guide will be sent upon registration to help all participants prepare.

No previous experience is required, simply an open mind and heart to receive the teachings and medicine of the Grand-Mothers & Grand-Fathers.


ABOUT CHRISTIN DENNIS

Christin Dennis has been a resident of North Perth since 2006, along with his wife Helen Shaw and their two sons, Seth Dennis and Sam Dennis. Christin is from Aamjiwnaang First Nation in Sarnia and is a Sixties Scoop Survivor. He is the organizer and facilitator of the Tipi of Huron Perth.

A spiritual healer as well as an artist, Christin stresses the importance of traditional teachings and spiritual growth. As such, he has facilitated sweat lodges for 22 years and emphasizes that awareness of self and one’s place in the world is important for members of both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous cultures. By understanding and embracing the teachings of the ancestral past, Christin seeks to preserve a way of life, share its core values, and help build a vision for our future.


ABOUT THE LAND

This gathering will be held on 50 acres of forested land near Creemore, Ontario, home to two vibrant permaculture gardens, a river, and a house for community gatherings. Lovingly stewarded for over 15 years, this land is a space of healing, learning, and connection to the natural world.

The $100 CAD honorarium goes directly to Christin Dennis for his time, teachings, and ceremonial leadership, and supports the ongoing land and community project that make gatherings like this possible.
