Sanctuary Walk - Refugee Week 2025

Join us for a special Sanctuary Walk during Refugee Week, where we’ll explore Bristol’s rich history of sanctuary and its contemporary relevance. The walk will cover significant locations in the city, including landmarks related to the legacy of the slave trade and places of sanctuary that have welcomed newcomers throughout the years.

Led by local experts including members of the Radical History Group, this walk will explore how Bristol has been a city of sanctuary, both historically and today. We'll end in the Memorial Garden, a space that honors both past struggles and future hopes.

Meeting point: College Green, outside City Hall, by the Sanctuary Tree (look out for high viz vests!)

Please RSVP and share with friends, let’s make this a meaningful part of Refugee Week 2025!
