SAVGR's 7th Annual Yule Festival

A family friendly and FREE event! It’s a holiday celebration through time! See where some of our modern Christmas traditions have some roots in the Viking holiday of Yule. Then see how they are integrated into today’s society in the Victorian age. Come and witness both Viking and Victorian culture. See a fireside chat with Odin and the patron St. Nicholas as they talk about what they taught Santa Claus when he took over as today's gift giver (as all three have a lot in common). You won’t find another event in the area that has both Vikings and Victorians!

There will be a Viking encampment with several reenactment groups. The Victorians will be celebrating Christmas inside the barn. We will have games from both time frames as well as comparison demos comparing the two.

We will even have a Viking Dog show!

Other activities include: shows, live music, comparison demos, combat demos, and black smithing.
