Barnyard Animals - Hand Built with White or Terracotta Clay

Create charming barnyard animals built by hand with either white or terracotta clay at our class on Saturday, June 28 (12-2 pm). We have a delightful menagerie of animals to choose from, including a cat, sheep, highland cow, rabbit, and chicken (the chicken is built to sit on a shelf). Guests will select their clay and animal at the time of the class. The animals measure approximately 6" and will make a lovely addition to your home, garden, or porch decor. They are safe outdoors in temperatures over 35°. Our instructor for this class is Cindy Hillier, a retired middle and elementary school art teacher of 25 years with the Tiffin City Schools. No experience is required as Cindy will share her clay hand-building expertise, guiding you step by step. The cost is $35 (non-refundable) per animal, which includes one kiln firing. If you would like to use acrylics to paint them, there is no extra fee. However, glazing and a second firing are an additional $15 per piece; this added fee is payable during the class. Registration is required.
