For the eight year, The Stanton Bird Club is offering Thorncrag Nature Week from July 14th through the 18th. Running from 9:00 AM to Noon, the program is designed to engage students aged 6 - 12 in natural history as observed in the Thorncrag Sanctuary. The theme this year is “Wild and Wonderful” and will focus on a different aspect of nature each day including pond studies, mammal activities, birds, insects and plants. Each day will include a hike and crafts related to the day’s topic.
Students should wear suitable clothing as they will be outside, rain or shine, every day. Each student should also pack a daily snack, as food and drink will not be provided.
Registration is $25 per student and is on a first come - first served basis.
