“A life long interest in researching and pursuing indigenous art forms began by growing up in historic Monroe, Michigan where a war of 1812 battle took place, & my ancestors 1790s fur trading post is still used as part of the museum complex there. I moved to Indiana in 1985 and after finishing high school there went on to
obtain a Bachelors degree in anthropology from Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. After which I worked in museums and archaeology. My family moved to northern Michigan during this time and I came up here and continued to pursue my research and art work.”
