Kelly Caisse from KDCrop Farms will present an on-site cooking demonstration on how to make a shelf stable jarred fresh Dill Pickles from start to finish including using a water bath canner. Participants will also learn about food safety, critical temperatures, pH testing, checking for a seal, and what to expect from making something shelf stable. Each participant will also receive a Pickle Kit that includes the jar, premixed spices, and a step-by-step recipe. Ages 12-18, Younger children welcome with caregiver.
