Matthew Good is a multi-platinum Canadian artist known for his distinctive voice, cinematic lyrics, and guitar-driven sound. Rising to fame in the '90s with the Matthew Good Band, he delivered rock radio hits like “Apparitions” and “Load Me Up,” earning multiple Juno Awards before launching a successful solo career with 2003’s Avalanche. His solo work has consistently pushed boundaries, blending introspection with protest, and earning both critical acclaim and commercial success.
With 13 studio albums and over 20 Juno nominations, Good’s music explores political, social, and mental health issues with unflinching honesty. Records like Vancouver challenge mainstream narratives, giving voice to the overlooked. His defiant, thoughtful songwriting continues to resonate deeply, and with new music slated for mid-2024, Good remains a vital force in Canadian rock.
I Mother Earth ended their eight-year hiatus in 2012 with two sold-out shows in Toronto, then reunited with original vocalist Edwin in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Scenery and Fish. The success of that tour led to a full national run and a formal reunion, with plans to create new music. The band is now energized by the chance to revisit their debut album Dig and write fresh material. “We’re excited to explore our full history with Edwin,” says drummer Christian Tanna. “Jamming with this vibe is a huge rush—we can’t wait to share it with our fans!”
