Dirty Dyeing with Fiber & Natural Dyes

Get down and dirty with this immersion dyeing class using Acid dyes and Fiber Reactive Dyes. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of coloring fabric and wool skeins with a dye bath. The process allows for a free and flexible approach to color while teaching the step-by-step method of safely handling synthetic dyes. This serves as an excellent primer to immersion dyeing. There might be a brief intermission, so please bring snacks and beverages to maintain energy levels.
