During this extraordinary guided hike you will venture into one of the Smugglers Caves where you will hear stories of a boat named Mary Stuart that the McNeilly’s from Moneydarragh near Annalong used to smuggle brandy, wines, silks and tobacco, and the battle that commenced one winters night under a full moon.

The walk then contours around the foot of Slieve Lamagan which during the Second World War was used as target practice by the American Navy that sat just off the Annalong coast. This leads us to Cove Cave where it is said by many holds a great energy from the granite walls that once inside surround you.

After we climb a few smaller gullies and reach the summit of Cove Mountain, you will be ready to take on the notorious Devils Coach Road.

The Devils Coach Road is a loose gully found on the slopes of Slieve Beg, this remarkable journey is an absolute must for adventurers seeking a thrilling escapade.

Prepare to be captivated by a seasoned local guide, who will entertain you with the history of the Mournes as you venture forth during this awe-inspiring adventure.
