Joe Marcinek’s Dead Funk Summit is a dynamic musical project that fuses the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead with the infectious grooves of New Orleans funk. Led by guitarist Joe Marcinek, the ensemble features a rotating cast of renowned musicians from the jam and funk scenes, including Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), George Porter Jr. (The Meters), and Tony Hall (Dumpstaphunk) . 
Each performance is a unique experience, blending elements of rock, psychedelic, jazz, and funk into high-energy, groove-centric jams. The Summit’s original compositions, such as “Fever Dream” and “Ethereal,” showcase the collective’s ability to create music that resonates with both jam band enthusiasts and funk aficionados .
