DU Retriever of the Year Regional Event

We are thrilled to introduce a groundbreaking initiative that will unite the retriever community with Ducks Unlimited for the very first time: the “DU Retriever of the Year Regional Event.” This exciting competition will be held on October 4, 2025 and invites retrievers from New Jersey, New York, Pa, Maryland, and Delaware to compete for the prestigious title of the top conservation retriever in the region. Retrievers from this region will compete in a hunt test for the bragging rights of the top DU conservation retriever. The top 5 dogs will win generous prizes.
Following the event, we will have an awards dinner where we will honor the top 5 scoring retrieves of the test. The first, second and third place winners will be awarded Ducks Unlimited shotguns as well as a trophy for the first place. After the awards we will have a traditional Ducks Unlimited dinner/fundraiser. It will consist of raffles, 50/50, silent auctions and live auctions. Proceeds will go to wetland preservation and to the hosting retriever club.
