Starting near Midmar Paddock we will ascend Blackford Hill passing Blackford Pond to the summit of Blackford Hill. We then descend past the Royal Observatory to Blackford Glen. At the bottom we cross the Braid Burn and ascend to the top of Buckstone Snab, on a clear day good views of the city and beyond can be seen. We descend back to the community wood and walk along the side of the Braid Burn. The walk passes the renovated Doocot and community garden. There is a cafe close to the Doocot "The Lodge Coffee House" which has outdoor seating. After this it is a short walk back to the car.
