Mel's Union Street Mile has fast become one of our favourite events of the year, and not just because it's largely down hill so you can pick up speed! It has a great community feel about it being in the heart of the city, as well as proudly being associated with the Celebrate Aberdeen parade day!
The race will start on Union Street at Holburn Junction, turn left along Union Terrace, right past HMT, down and up Schoolhill, right past Marischal College and finish on Broad Street.
Races start from 10.30am with Primary P3-7, followed by the Secondary S1-6s at 10.40am and finally the Adults race taking place at 10.50am. Due to the tight time available due to road closures and the Celebrate Aberdeen Parade starting at 11am, entrants must be able to complete 1 mile in under 12 minutes. Also due to the tight schedule we are unfortunately not able to offer races on the day for children P2 and below.
