Mood Area 52 Live in the Garden of Dreams!

What a fun evening this will be! Let's dress up. Bring cocktails. Wear your tango shoes! Well, maybe not, it's grass out there. Bring your swing shoes - aren't they just sneakers? Dance barefoot! Yeah, that's it! $10-$20 suggested donation, all to the band. Bring food, drink, a picnic dinner. There will be tables and chairs, but bring your own chair if you wish. I'll definitely make room up front for dancing!

Mood Area 52, an Americana-influenced ensemble, blends Latin, world, and instrumental art music. Formed in 1998 as a Piazzolla-inspired neo-tango and silent film score ensemble, the group has evolved into a group defined more by instrumentation and mood than genre. Their recent releases, including Find Some Kind of Light, Company Town, and 1952 Philanski House, feature a diverse range of genres such as roots rock, instrumental tango, jazz, blues, Balkan influences, ranchera, American folk, country, Brechtian cabaret, and classical music.
