Exploring Japanse Culture & Kawaii Creations Summer Art Workshop for Kids! (#1)

In this workshop, kids will learn about how to draw and color their own anime character. They will also use watercolors and get to paint watercolor koi fish. Kids will learn about Japanese artist Hokusai and do a study on his famous wave painting. They will even get to work with polymer clay and make their own Kawaii clay magnets! We’ll also explore how to design our own Japanese characters, kimono and all. This summer workshop is for kids ages 6-14 and will be taught July 7th-11th from 12-2pm at Art YOUR Way in West Pasco. The cost is $199 for 5 days of fun. All supplies will be provided along with a snack and drink.

Current daily itinerary:
day 1: Anime drawing
day 2: Design your own Japanese character paper craft
day 3: Hokusai’s wave study
day 4: Watercolor koi
day 5: Kawaii creations with polymer clay
