At 6 p.m., Jon Smith's Voyages will take the Concerts by the Creek stage. Jon Smith’s Voyages mixes rock, soul, funk, psychedelic, pop, and blues into theatrical rock that is a treat for the eyes and the ears. Many fans say the style of band-leader Jon Paul Smith’s songwriting is reminiscent of daring acts like Queen, David Bowie, and even Broadway musicals. While their latest album ‘Unattended Symphony’ has hints of those influences, Jon Smith’s Voyages delivers the songs naturally with a unique, eclectic flare.
At 7 p.m., The Fleshtones will take the Concerts by the Creek stage. The hardest working band in American garage rock history, The Fleshtones have been delivering their iconic party band vibe since 1976. They are probably one of the most famous American bands which you've never heard of...yet, you probably HAVE heard of them. From hosting their own show on MTV, to playing on American Bandstand and Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes, to appearing on movie soundtracks, to sharing the stage with everywhere from James Brown, Bo Diddley, Iggy Pop, Chuck Berry, etc..., to being the very first band to play some of America's most iconic venues. The Fleshtones are a true American treasure, one that continues to play to packed crowds worldwide.
