Beginning Origami Workshop with Kerrin Barelli

Origami has long been recognized for its ability to enhance concentration, reduce stress, foster creativity, and improve problem-solving skills! In this workshop presented by the Center for Creative Exploration at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design and instructor Kerrin Barelli, we will delve into the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, using a single square of paper to create simple yet beautiful designs. No prior experience is required!

Notes: This is a seated one-hour class. Please bring a notebook for taking notes. Supplies are provided for your use. For adults and teens aged 16+.

Kerrin Barelli earned her BA in Art Education from Millersville University in 2013. She has been an elementary art teacher in the School District of Lancaster since 2014, bringing a decade of experience and passion to her classroom and also teaches in the Center for Creative Exploration at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. Kerrin’s greatest joy in life is helping others tap into their creativity and discover their artistic potential. She is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment where students feel empowered to explore and create. Kerrin is a firm believer that a sketchbook should be carried everywhere, and that inspiration can strike at any time. Most of her artistic work lives in books, as drawing and collage are her favorite mediums to work in.
