Life of Agony emerged from the New York music scene in the early ’90s with one of the most distinctive sounds in its genre. Rolling Stone named their 1993 debut River Runs Red (Roadrunner Records) as one of the “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. In addition, the album’s lead-off track “This Time” is considered byRolling Stone as one of the “100 Greatest Metal Songs of All Time.” For over three decades, Life of Agony has shared stages with the biggest names in rock, selling over one million albums to date, and building a die-hard, cult following in the process.
Formed in East Brunswick, New Jersey in 1996, God Forbid built a following in the late 1990s by touring with some of metal’s most notable bands like GWAR, Nile, Cradle of Filth and Candiria, God Forbid’s first full album Reject the Sickness was released by 9Volt Industries in 1999 and received heavy rotation from WSOU-FM in South Orange, New Jersey helping the band subsequently sign to Century Media Records.
