Beginners Lino block Printing & hand colouring workshop

Learn to carve, produce, process and print your lino block. In this workshop, participants will be taught methods to achieve their own original lino block. This creative workshop is ideal for all skill levels. perfect for anyone interested in learning new and exciting ways of mark-making. Participants will go home with a series of finished prints using a printmaking press and the knowledge of how to produce their prints at home. The size of the block we will be using is 15cm x 15cm from a material called Easy Carve, a rubber-based block easier for carving (can be carved on both sides). Please bring an image or drawing the size of the printing block. The block printing image works best if it is a bold image, as this process uses dark and light blocks of colour (not mid tones).
All materials, tea & coffee are provided, bring along your lunch or there is a bakery around the corner. There is parking behind the studio, via the access next to the chemist. Wheelchair accessible.
