About the talk
This talk celebrates the lives and achievements of some lesbian, bisexual and trans women of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries who challenged the gender conventions of their day. They became successful in a wide range of professions and occupations, from the arts, medicine and the law, to farming, education and politics, social reform and philanthropy, music and sport. Photographic images provide a back-drop to these inspiring individuals whose ‘true colours’ come shining through.
Event funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
