Intro to Timber Framing Weekend

An intensive weekend course, Intro to Timber Framing, introduces students to the fundamentals of designing and constructing a timber frame structure starting with the the use of hand-tools to cut joinery.

Topics include getting comfortable with hand-tools, tool sharpening, frame design and layout, wood & joinery choices, and frame integration. Hands-on elements will include cutting the fundamental mortise & tenon and half-lap joints, and shaping & drilling for pegs.
