It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Oh wait, it is actually a bird. Stop by the library on Saturday, July 12th to learn about and celebrate our feathered friends! We’ll talk about what makes birds different from other animals, share some bird identification and birding tips, play a little bird bingo, and go for a neighborhood bird walk to look and listen for birds nearby. Our time together will feature hands-on activities from the Tug Hill Explorer Bird Backpack, available for check out right here at the library!

This event is for all ages and abilities. Registration is strongly encouraged. To register, please visit: https://tughilltomorrowlandtrust.org/event/tug-hill-explorer-birds-and-birding-at-flower-memorial-library/

You can bring your own binoculars or use one of our extra pairs for the program.

Note: You may want to add Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s free eBird (checklist keeper) and/or Merlin (bird ID) apps to your smart phone prior to the program. Make sure to download the northeast U.S. bird pack from the apps’ settings menus.
