Members of the Montreal Amateur Radio Club and the West Island Amateur Radio clubs, are joining forces in the long-standing tradition of cooperation between both clubs, and will be participating in the ARRL (arrl.org) Amateur Radio Field Day exercises being held on June 28 – 29, 2025 at Centennial Hall Park in Beaconsfield.

Since 1933, ham radio operators across North America have established temporary ham radio stations in public locations during Field Day to showcase the science, service and emergency preparedness of Amateur Radio. Field Day demonstrates how Amateur Radio works reliably under any conditions from almost any location to create an independent communications network with battery powered operations, recharged via solar power. This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

Set-up begins Saturday June 28 at 08:00.

On-air activities starting at 14:00 and end 24 hrs later on Sunday at 14:00.

We will have 2 HF (shortwave) stations and a GOTA (get on the air) station for those who aren’t licensed or newly licensed to see what it is like to « get on the air ».

Amateur Radio is: Public Service in emergency preparedness, a hands‐on way to learn science, and a great time!

Come visit us in Centennial Park in Beaconsfield, QC.
