Sturgis 2025 Ride Itinerary & Cost Breakdown
Day 1: Friday, August 1 β Ride to Oregon
Depart early morning 730am
Ride through scenic routes toward Oregon.
Find a campground or motel/hotel for the night near the Rogue River.
Day 2: Saturday, August 2 β Rogue River Jet Boats
Spend the morning riding the Rogue River jet boats.
Relax, grab lunch, and explore the area.
Evening ride to a campsite or hotel in preparation for the next day's ride.
Day 3: Sunday, August 3 β Oregon to Idaho (via Washington)
Morning stop at Tillamook Cheese Factory for breakfast and a tour.
Ride through Washington, enjoying coastal and mountain roads.
Continue toward Idaho, stopping for food and fuel as needed.
Camp or split a hotel room for the night.
Day 4: Monday, August 4 β Idaho to Yellowstone
Early departure toward Yellowstone National Park.
Scenic ride through Idaho and Wyoming, stopping for photos and fuel.
Explore Yellowstone's iconic spots (Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring).
Camp or stay at a hotel near Yellowstone for the night.
Day 5: Tuesday, August 5 β Ride to Sturgis (Buffalo Chip)
Morning ride toward Sturgis, South Dakota.
Arrive at Buffalo Chip and set up camp.
Enjoy the rally atmosphere, events, and concerts.
Days 6-8: Wednesday-Friday, August 6-8 β Sturgis Rally
Explore Sturgis, check out Main Street, bike shows, races, and concerts.
Ride Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, and Mount Rushmore.
Relax and enjoy the rally vibes.
Day 9: Saturday, August 9 β Pack Up & Head Home
Break camp early and start the long ride back.
Route home can vary depending on preferred roads and stops.
Additional Ride Details
Gas stops every ~100 miles.
Random stops for scenic views, scenic routes, and Harley shops.
Be mindful of time. When leaving parking lots, be ready when the group is ready or have the next stop planned so you know where to meet up. The group will not delay.
Cost Breakdown (Per Person)
Camping at Buffalo Chip: $100 (deposit required, includes private outhouse and showers)
Chase truck/gear hauler (if available): $50
Camp cook (two meals per day): Approx. $100
Buffalo Chip wristbands: Not included (must be purchased individually)
Hotels/Lodging: Can split roomsβcontact Mack to be placed in a room group (first come, first serve, deposit required)
Mack is working on securing a chase truck for gear and a camp cook to prepare two meals daily.
