Located in the heart of the Shouf district, Serjbel is a charming Lebanese village nestled along the stunning Naher El Jahliyeh River, which flows through the region year-round. The river is home to several beautiful waterfalls, with the famous Serjbel Waterfall drawing visitors each year for its icy water and serene atmosphere.
Trail Highlights:
• Scenic Beauty: Serjbel offers breathtaking views of the river and its waterfalls, surrounded by lush flora and a variety of trees.
• Historical Landmarks: The hike will pass through old watermills and wooden bridges, adding a historical charm to the journey.
• Charming Villages: We will explore the picturesque villages of Chamaarine, Fkhaite, and Debiyeh along the way.
• Shady Paths: Abundant trees and wild vegetation will provide plenty of shade throughout the hike.
Hike Details:
• Level 4: Follow the river, cross wooden bridges, and visit historical watermills. Enjoy the shaded paths and the beautiful surroundings before beginning the ascent to Mar Abda Church, then head to the Serjbel Waterfall.
After this invigorating hike, we will enjoy a delicious homemade lunch together in a lovely local spot.

Situé au cœur du district du Chouf, Serjbel est un charmant village libanais niché le long de la rivière splendide de Naher El Jahliyeh, qui coule toute l'année à travers la région. La rivière abrite plusieurs magnifiques cascades, dont la célèbre cascade de Serjbel, attirant chaque année des visiteurs pour son eau glacée et son atmosphère sereine.
Points forts de la randonnée :
• Beauté pittoresque : Serjbel offre des vues imprenables sur la rivière et ses cascades, entourées de flore luxuriante et d'une variété d'arbres.
• Sites historiques : La randonnée passe par d'anciens moulins à eau et des ponts en bois, ajoutant une touche historique au parcours.
• Villages pittoresques : Nous explorerons les charmants villages de Chamaarine, Fkhaite et Debiyeh en cours de route.
• Sentiers ombragés : De nombreux arbres et végétation sauvage fourniront de l'ombre tout au long de la randonnée.

• Niveau 4 : Suivez la rivière, traversez des ponts en bois et visitez des moulins à eau historiques. Profitez des sentiers ombragés et des magnifiques paysages avant de commencer l'ascension vers l'église de Mar Abda, puis dirigez-vous vers la cascade de Serjbel.
Après cette belle randonnée, nous nous retrouverons pour partager un délicieux déjeuner fait maison dans un charmant endroit local.
