Forest School Session

Selby Town Council are teaming up with Forest Quest this summer to bring you the amazing chance to join one of our forest school sessions.

We are running two sessions on Monday August 4th at Bondgate Woodland. This one-off session will provide a taster of the Forest Schools concept; children will be encouraged to get involved in inspiring outdoor activities to help improve their self-esteem and develop their appreciation of nature and the outdoors.

Children will be given the opportunity to have a go at activities they may not have met before and to build their resilience by overcoming new challenges, understanding risks and learning new practical skills. Children normally find the activities exciting and challenging, requiring perseverance and focus. Activities will include fire lighting, den building, nature-based craft and toasting marshmallows. These sessions are for children of school age.
